The Ourthe River Contract wanted a simple tool to enable members of the public to carry out a self-assessment of their home in relation to the risk of flooding.
We have developed a web application that guides users through an interactive questionnaire to identify the main areas of concern relating to their home.
The tool also brings together practical guides, PDF documents and interactive illustrations, accompanied by written and audio explanations.
The project was carried out using an approach based on vibe coding, in order to rapidly develop a bespoke solution whilst keeping costs under control. Particular attention was also paid to accessibility for people with visual impairments.

Our support
For the Ourthe River Contract, we have transformed a range of prevention materials into a a simple, interactive and accessible self-assessment tool.
We began by structuring the user journey so that users can progress step by step without any prior technical knowledge. The answers to the questionnaire then direct users to relevant information: recommendations, practical guides, documents or further explanations.
We have also included interactive visuals to make certain technical points easier to understand, as well as a text-to-speech system to improve accessibility.
Finally, the use of vibe coding has made it possible to speed up development and focus the budget on essential features, without unnecessarily complicating the solution.
